LS POWER GRID CALIFORNIA GATES
The Gates 500 kV Dynamic Reactive Support Project, known as the Orchard Substation, will provide critical reliability for the CAISO grid in California’s San Joaquin Valley by mitigating high voltages and thermal overloads that would otherwise result from PG&E’s retirement of the Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant.
LS POWER GRID CALIFORNIA ROUND MOUNTAIN
The Round Mountain 500 kV Area Dynamic Reactive Support Project, known as the Fern Road Substation, will provide critical reliability for the Northern California grid by eliminating chronic high voltage issues on PG&E’s system and addressing wide voltage variability resulting from increased solar generation in CAISO.
LS POWER GRID CALIFORNIA COLLINSVILLE
The Collinsville 500/230 kV Substation Project addresses multiple overloads on the existing 230 kV system and provides an additional supply from the existing 500 kV system into the northern Greater Bay Area to increase reliability and advance additional renewable generation in the area.
LS POWER GRID CALIFORNIA MANNING
The Manning 500/230 kV Substation Project addresses overloads on the existing 230 kV system and enables the advancement of renewable generation within the Westlands / San Joaquin area.
LS POWER GRID CALIFORNIA – POWER THE SOUTH BAY
The Power the South Bay Project (also known as the Newark – Northern Receiving Station HVDC Project) is a reliability-driven project that will strengthen the electrical grid in the northern San José area to improve reliability, support economic development, and provide better access to cost effective, renewable energy to meet the needs of residents and businesses. The project will use some of the most advanced electrical grid technologies available.
LS POWER GRID CALIFORNIA - POWER SANTA CLARA VALLEY
The Power the South Bay Project (also known as the Newark – Northern Receiving Station HVDC Project) is a reliability-driven project that will strengthen the electrical grid in central San José to improve reliability, support economic development, and provide better access to cost effective, renewable energy to meet the needs of residents and businesses. The project will use some of the most advanced electrical grid technologies available.
REPUBLIC TRANSMISSION EXPANSION
Republic Transmission is dedicated to delivering reliable and cost-effective transmission infrastructure for the MISO region. This project will include developing, owning, operating, and maintaining a new double-circuit 345 kV transmission line in northern Indiana, from LaGrange County to the Indiana/Michigan border.
SILVER RUN ELECTRIC EXPANSION
The Silver Run Expansion Project will increase the existing transmission path to address reliability needs in support of new clean, renewable energy flowing from New Jersey’s offshore wind projects into the regional electric grid.
National Transmission Platform
Our collaborative, responsive team is capable of implementing innovative solutions to the development, construction, ownership, and operation of our transmission assets in any region under any number of unique conditions.
Competition is Our Difference
Competition breeds innovation
Competition for new transmission brings significant value to electricity consumers and the regions in which they live. By encouraging competition among numerous qualified companies, ratepayers receive the benefits of solutions that might not otherwise be recommended by incumbent utilities. Competition facilitates the delivery of affordable electricity that customers deserve.
Competition drives efficiency
Investment in transmission infrastructure is the fastest-growing cost of electricity bills. Maximizing competition allows regions to plan and secure resources more efficiently while enabling the growth of renewable resources. Competition is a proven method to identify the most efficient and cost-effective solutions and drive companies to complete critical transmission projects on time and at lower costs for consumers.
Competition demands operational excellence
Our collaborative, interdisciplinary development team is structured to deliver innovative solutions in the most efficient manner to keep our projects on schedule and on budget. Once energized, our team of dedicated operations, engineering, and maintenance staff work around-the-clock to ensure the reliable and secure operation of our transmission facilities using the latest advancements in equipment and energy management systems.
Our Values
LS Power sets itself apart through our innovative, efficient, cost-driven, environmental and community-focused approach to our transmission business. We understand the importance to consumers and businesses of a reliable and cost-efficient transmission grid.
We are proud to deliver operational excellence and superior value for all our stakeholders.
