Great Basin Transmission South

The One Nevada Transmission Line (ON Line) established the first electric transmission connection between northern and southern Nevada, providing reliability and resiliency for the grid, and enabling the bi-directional flow of diverse generation sources.

ON Line connects the Harry Allen Substation near Las Vegas, Nevada, to the Robinson Summit Substation near Ely, Nevada. Great Basin Transmission South is the majority owner of ON Line, which is co-owned by NV Energy.

History

2010

In 2010, Great Basin Transmission South entered into an agreement with NV Energy to construct ON Line.

2014

In 2014, ON Line was placed in service. ON Line’s transmission facilities were the first extra high-voltage connection between NV Energy’s northern and southern utility systems. ON Line enables the development of numerous diverse energy resource projects in Nevada as well as bi-directional flow between utility systems.
