LS Power Grid New York
LS Power Grid New York is an electric transmission utility that strengthens and expands New York state’s electric grid.
Our transmission facilities relieve congestion on the New York ISO’s (NYISO) power grid through the Mohawk Valley and in the Capital Region, improve reliability by modernizing transmission equipment, enable the transmission of diverse generation resources, and transport affordable electricity to power homes and businesses across the state. To support LS Power Grid New York, we maintain an office near Albany, New York.
History
2019
In 2019, LS Power Grid New York (along with the New York Power Authority) was designated by NYISO through a competitive solicitation to construct, own, and operate the Central East Energy Connect project within existing utility rights-of-way. This project was completed on schedule and under the guaranteed cost cap.

The Central East Energy Connect Project traverses the Gordon Road Substation in Schenectady, New York, to the Princetown Substation in Princetown, New York.
